Back In Motion Bacchus Marsh

Negative experience: Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this place. I have been waiting for a basic refund on a retail purchase for over two weeks. They have been in possession of the item this entire time. It was bought outright with my own money and should’ve been a simple eftpos reversal. Instead it’s been caught up with their finance team, and the Bacchus team assured me the money would be back in my account by today at the latest. I’m yet to be refunded. They’re been contacted about this multiple times and the most recent excuse is that it’s because I’m on the NDIS, but this was a retail purchase and I’m self-managed. It had nothing to do with the NDIS at any point in the purchase. I’m now still without my money and feel extremely discriminated against. I’ll be pursuing this further with consumer affairs today as I’ve been very patient up until this point and it is affecting me financially. Very disappointed.

Negative experience: in 2022- 2023 I was under the care of a physio for over 12 months. It did seem to help a little but never resolved itself. He told me so many times in very complicated language that I had some serious "muscles problems" and although it was complex it would resolve eventually and that I was to trust him. I took him at his word and continued under his care as he seemed like he knew what he was talking about. He did no further investigation because he believed he knew what was wrong. My pain continued and he recommended additional appointments and also signed me up for palates, which he was sure would help resolve everything. I had done palates for months as well as visits and my plan really never changed although I had questioned it. Over the Xmas holidays (2023l I severely hurt my back and couldn't move. I called my physio to come to my home (which cost me over $200) All he did was sit next to me on my bed (while I was in agony mind you) and drew a diagram of my muscles and what I had been doing or not doing to help myself. He blamed me saying that because I refused to take strong pain meds to loosen up, that had made it worse and caused me some depression and wasn't helping??? He didn't give me any treatment or a future plan to help get me back on my feet, just a lecture of not taking stronger pain, oh and also blamed anxiety for holding me back. After this visit which had left me gob smacked, did I realise he didnt know what was wrong with me this whole time. A few days later the pain was so bad I had to call an ambulance and was taken to hospital. They performed a CT scan on my back, and it was discovered I had stage 4 cancer. It had spread to my spine and bones which was causing all my pain. I acknowledge that even if he had done the right thing and recommend that I have scans done the outcome may not have changed my diagnoses of stage 4 cancer, but it could have made a HUGE difference to my quality of life, as it wasn't as advanced at the early stages. I was bed ridden for almost 8 months in total, lost my independence, my business had to close, my husband was my full time carer. I could make.an entire list how this has affected my life......this all *COULD* have been avoided. The time wasted not knowing what was what was wrong with me it was eating away at my spine. I had to use a wheelchair to get around and then learn to walk again with a walker. It took a long time and a lot of pain. When I finally spoke to the manager, he gave me the stock standard apology which was so insincere and kept asking me what I wanted, like I saw this as some cash grab situation. My life had be ruined, I was upset and just wanted them to acknowledge and show empathy. I eventually had my fees reimbursed. Just an FYI also the physio who did this continued to work there without any consequence until he moved interstate 12 months later. Nothing was done about it, he suffered no consequence.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Riya over the past two weeks for an upper back injury and she's been incredible! She worked magic with some dry needling in our first session and since then has set up an excellent streching/exercise plan to help prevent future injury. Highly reccomend Riya if you're looking for someone to fix you in both the short and long term!

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Kenny enough. He’s been with me from the very start of my workplace back injury, when I couldn’t even walk without pain. I’m still having treatment and slowly making progress, and Kenny has been incredibly supportive the whole way. He also makes the sessions fun and positive, which really helps on the tougher days. Thanks to his care and encouragement, I’ve gone from barely walking to being able to walk up to 15 minutes pain-free. Really grateful for his support and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: My son and I started seeing Kenny after he was recommended through our gym. He has helped us with everything from rehabing a torn MCL, to shin splints, to headaches. Kenny puts you at ease, and is clear about treatment, exercises, and his plan for you moving forward. Would happily recommend him to anyone looking for a physio.

Fantastic experience: I came in to clinic with shoulder pain that I have not been able to have fixed, and after seeing Riya only a couple of times I am having no pain for the first time in years. Since I started seeing Riya there, my shoulder and hip pain have lessened. She’s intuitive and passionate about her care for patients, always going that extra step to ensure that you’re getting the best results and focusing on improving your care rather than putting a bandaid on the injuries. Such a great atmosphere with people who show care and love for the work they provide.

If you are pregnant or have had a baby, please do yourself a favour and go see her. It’s been very helpful for me and such an important part of my recovery. She’s also super friendly, informative and helps you actually understand your body.

Fantastic experience: I saw Adeline throughout my pregnancy to work on my pelvic floor and prepare my body for birth. Addy was very thorough in all her assessments and provided great education. She was kind, caring and compassionate and always followed up with me after appointments. I highly recommend her and can’t thank her enough!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended, took our 12 year old son who plays a tremendous amount of sport and was having issues with soreness in his legs. The team explained everything to him, not just to me which is great to see. We are now working with them to best manage his soreness and recovery.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been dealing with Type 2 accessory navicular bone for years which caused pain in my foot and ankle. After trying various treatments, my podiatrist recommended shockwave therapy and it has made a noticeable difference. Larry is so amazing he went above and beyond and found the best treatment option for my condition. I’m really impressed with how effective shockwave has helped for my condition and really thankful to Larry and the team in Back In Motion Bacchus Marsh ;)

Fantastic experience: My GP referred me to Adeline for physiotherapy due to the persistent pain in my coccyx area. I had a fall 12 months ago, and despite undergoing several CT scans, MRIs, and X-rays, no conclusive diagnosis has been found. Adeline conducted a thorough examination of the injured area and began my treatment. After a few sessions, I started feeling consistently better. Thanks to a professionally designed physiotherapy exercise program, I can now sit and watch TV for a few hours. My quality of life has greatly improved. I have complete trust in Adeline and her team, and I plan to continue using their services until I am fully recovered.

Fantastic experience: Went for a shoulder injury. Very thorough and helpful. Gave exercises to help recovery. Monitored progress and made sure I was 100% before advising no more appointments were needed.

Fantastic experience: Mitzi is an absolutely incredible myotherapist. Her understanding of the human body is remarkable and her treatment unmatched due to that excellence. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Negative experience: Unfriendly staff

Negative experience: I called and asked about my Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Program and was told there would be an out of pocket fee of about $8 to $9 so I made an appointment to see the podiatrist. Larry was great. I paid the amount they asked for but when I got my rebate I was stunned to see that I was out of pocket $30.70. When I called got told sorry and you should have never been told the out of pocket fee was what I got told. Thanks very much as I can only go by what was told to me. Warning make sure you get the correct information before booking anything from this place. Dissapointed and will not be returning

Fantastic experience: Being a property inspector, I have to constantly crawl under subfloors to check foundation & walk in roof spaces to check roof truss & suffered lower back pain as a result. Went to Back in Motion Bacchus Marsh & Shalin did a great job in resolving my back pain in just one day , helping me back in motion. Recommend anyone to use Back in Motion clinic BM

Fantastic experience: I have been really enjoying clinical pilates and hydrotherapy with Pinakin, having someone who actually wants to fix your problem and knows you individually and where you are at makes a huge difference. Service at the clinic as a whole is fantastic also.

Positive experience: Very Friendly. Physio seemed knowledgeable. Probably only one tip. This was my first consultation whereby the first 20 minutes of assessment is free. But if I continued I would be charged a session. I did the whole session and not worried. But it would perhaps be good if after the 20 minutes the patient was told the free session is over and asked if they want to continue.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing the physios at Back in Motion for several years. Their ongoing treatments, exercises continue to keep my body well tuned. The entire staff are extremely pleasant and friendly to deal with.

They have got me through surgery and now general soreness and ongoing maintenance. Thanks for the help.
