Fantastic experience: Alia (?sp) was very thorough in understanding my injury and suggested exercises that provided significant improvement in less that 18 hours - from having difficulty walking more than a few steps without serious pain, I was walking almost pain-free. Not fully recovered, but the exercises are definitely the solution. Thank you so much

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend Healthy Mates and Jake highly enough. With every appointment, Jake is incredibly professional, organised, and clearly knowledgeable about my injury/s, which was later confirmed by scans. His thorough approach gives me immediate confidence in his expertise. After initial treatment, Jake provided a detailed rehab plan, which he took the time to carefully explain and break down into manageable steps. This allows me a great understanding of what is required and why. Jake’s professionalism and depth of knowledge is consistent throughout all appointments. I’ve never once doubted his ability to help me return to sport. I couldn’t recommend Jake or Healthy Mates more.

Negative experience: Rang healthy mates to get codes and ask if they take gmhba they said yes on hydro and gym. rang my gmhba to check yes it was covered , paid for a physiologist as you have to a fee of $80 to get started. went for my first session manager proceeded to tell me was not covered by gmhba what a waste of time and money , she was extremely rude, and was very sarcastic not listening to me over talking me and continuously argued with me. If this is the face of healthy mates not a good first impression rude and she told me she did not believe that that's not true, that I was wrong, I had just visited gmhba in Mitchell St to check in person, too even up my extra cover. beware about your private covers they will say your covered then apparently your not even tho your fund covers you extremely rude manager and never want to set foot in company again, and I will be addressing this too gmhba about this company this is the first time I have ever put up a bad review in life.

Positive experience: The staff are always friendly and helpful. They could do with more equipment in the gym as sometimes you have to wait to use machines as there is only one of everything and the pool could be cleaned more often. Always seems to be things floating in the water and a few times there has been brown sludge on the pool floor.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with the staff and program set at Healthy Mates. Fairly new to Healthy mates but feel comfortable attending and doing the program set for me.

Negative experience: Very disappointed for my first day experience. We are now in a society of times doesn’t matter. Appointment was for 2.30 pm and at 2.40pm I was asked into a cubical. Within 20 minutes I was examined, shown exercises and paid on my way out. Once in the cubical I was asked what can I do to help. After me providing admin with all my body parts replaced reports photos etc, and a brief history in a pro former, then to have the Physio “not to have anything relating to my issues at his disposal” He said it could be a case of his running late or it could be a case of his laziness. NOT A GOOD START. Ok, next step, no physical examination of my body, therefore the Physio relied on me to provide my issues, for him to work on my case. He gave me a number of 6 exercises to do to start off my 5 Medicare covered visits and work from there. All of the above was completed in 20 minutes and was handed a sheet of exercises which were poorly explained; no diagrams nor drawings nor pics; and said ‘see you in a week’. I then proceeded and paid on my way out for the quickest visit to a Physio ever. To add to the poor service I had to find him after paying and ask him where were the exercise bands that he said earlier would be provided. It was obvious that his time was far more important than my time and I was left NOT having a good feeling about the practice. My 2nd visit will determine if I continue. Disappointed client.

Negative experience: Current receptionist is atrocious. Rude, judgemental and ableist. Had the worst experience just because I didn’t understand the recent price increases or why for a concession card holder there was no differences in prices, waste of appointments, was called names and called dumb when I’m just autistic, was hung up on multiple times and when I asked to speak to the manager I was hung up on again and after reaching out to manager receptionist had deleted my emails to the manager. Gave up after because the mental stress, judgment and just the mess of trying to speak to a manager was just not worth it

Fantastic experience: The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, flexible and will accommodate you according to your needs. Hydrotherapy pools, spa,sauna and gym are well located and easily accessible. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the physiotherapists work with you at your pace , listen to your concerns, fears and work with you so that you are able to get the best outcomes possible.

Positive experience: I went there as a class for my first go at hydrotherapy and it was great! The staff were very helpful and informative and it was a great atmosphere and experience.
